HausMoney™: Onboarding Guide

This guide outlines the process for employees to sign up for the HausMoney Card and account. The entire registration process should be completed in one sitting.

Prerequisites Before You Begin

  • Eligibility: Minors cannot sign up for the HausMoney Card at this time.

  • Required Documents: Although HausMoney automatically verifies submitted information, please have the following unexpired documents on hand in case manual verification is prompted:

    • Driver's license

    • Passport

    • State ID

    • A digital utility bill matching the billing address

  • Security: Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, provides financial products, and deposits are insured up to $250,000.


Step 1: Request the Invitation Code

  1. Log In: Log in to the Employee App at my.tiphaus.com.

  2. Access Tab: Click the Earned Tip Access tab at the bottom of the screen (card icon).

  3. Initiate Sign-Up: Click the Sign Up button located under the HausMoney section.

  4. Confirm Email: A pop-up message will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to receive an email to begin the registration process.


  5. Receive Code: You will receive an email containing the unique Invitation Code. Do not exchange this code.

Two Separate Codes Are Issued During Employee Onboarding:

Invite Code: Generated and sent after clicking "Sign Up" on the TipHaus Employee App.

One-Time Email Verification Code: Automatically generated from the mobile app; goes to the email they used when signing up for the HausMoney™ Card mobile app.

The invite code and one-time email verification code may be in a spam or junk folder—please look there if you cannot find the codes in your email Inbox.

Recommendation: Search for “HausMoney” in the email search box.


Step 2: Download the Mobile App

  1. Open Email: Open the Invitation Code email.

  2. Download App: Click on the corresponding link within the email to download the HausMoney Card mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 3: Begin Account Creation

  1. Open App: Launch the HausMoney app on your device.

  2. Join Now: Tap on Join Now on the last slide of the Introduction carousel.


Step 4: Enter Invitation Code

  1. Retrieve Code: Retrieve the Invitation Code from the email.

  2. Enter Code: Input the Invitation Code into the app.

  3. Continue: Tap Continue


Step 5 & 6: Verification and Password Creation

  1. Email Verification: A 6-Character Verification Code will be sent to your email address.

    • Tip: If the code is not in the Inbox, check the spam or junk folder, or search for "HausMoney".

  2. Input Code: Input the Verification Code into the provided screen.

  3. 🔐 Create Your Password

    To complete your sign-up, please create a new password that meets the following four requirements:

    • It must be at least 8 characters long.

    • It must contain a mix of letters and numbers.

    • It cannot be too similar to your name or email address.

    • It should not contain common, easily guessed words (like colors or animals).

  4. Join Now: Tap Join Now after confirming your password.


Step 7 & 8: Input your Information and Accept Terms

To complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, you must provide specific documents for manual review. This usually includes a government-issued identification and proof of address to confirm your identity and background.

Most users complete KYC smoothly, but sometimes, you might face delays if your documentation is insufficient or the information is inconsistent.

While this step may seem complex, it is crucial for your security and the company's compliance and trust. This process helps prevent fraud and identity theft, ultimately safeguarding both the business and you, the employee.

  1. Input your personal information:

    • Important: Your Billing Address must match the address on your photo ID. You can adjust your Shipping Address later if needed.

  2. Continue: Tap Continue.

  3. Accept Terms & Conditions and Complete Signup: Tap Complete Signup to finalize the enrollment.


Step 9 & 10: Card Preference and Shipping

  1. Card Preference: Leave the default selection as Send me a physical card. You will also enjoy the digital version.

  2. Continue: Tap Continue.

  3. Confirm Shipping: Review the Confirm Shipping Details screen. Your card will be delivered within 5 to 7 business days.

    • To Edit Shipping Address: Tap the pencil button to change the address where you want your physical card shipped.

  4. Continue: Tap Continue.


✅ Successful Sign Up

Upon successful sign-up, you will be able to see your HausMoney Charge Card on the home screen, with an available balance of $0.00.

How To Confirm Your Account Is Active

How to view your Account and Routing number:

  1. Tap on the HausMoney account (e.g., HausMoney Charge Card (…5867)).

  2. Tap on the Account option.
