HausMoney™: How to close my account?

We're sorry to see you go! This article will guide you through the steps to close your HausMoney account.

Important Note: Even if you leave your TipHaus organization, your HausMoney account remains active and accessible for your personal use. You can continue to use it as a standalone account for your financial needs. Closing your account is a separate action and entirely your choice.

Additionally, changing your ETA tip payout method (or opting out of the ETA program) does not automatically close your HausMoney account. You must explicitly request closure through the app or by contacting support.

Steps to Close Your HausMoney Account:

  1. Ensure Your Account Balance is $0

    • Transfer any remaining funds to an external bank account. If there are small amounts below the minimum transfer limit, contact the support team for assistance.

  2. Submit a Closure Request

    • Log into the HausMoney app on your mobile device.

    • Tap on the Profile Tab located on the bottom right of the screen.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap Close Account. This option is clearly marked in red letters.

    • You will then be prompted to Select a reason why you are closing your account. Please choose the option that best describes your decision.

  3. Verify Your Identity (if required)

    • Confirm your identity and the organization you’re associated with to help the support team locate your account.

Once you've completed these steps, your HausMoney account closure process will be initiated.

After closure, your account and associated card will no longer be usable.


Please keep in mind: Closing a credit account may negatively impact your credit score due to a decrease in the average age of your credit history and a potential increase in your credit utilization ratio. Additionally, if the closed account was part of a good credit mix, its absence can also affect your score.
