HausMoney™: Issues with Cash App, Apple Cash, or Similar Services?

HausMoney is credit for purchases, not P2P apps like Apple Cash. Credit lines can't directly fund these transfers.

Think of HausMoney like a credit card. You can use your credit card to buy things at stores or online, but you can't typically use your available credit to directly add funds to your Cash App balance or send money to a friend via Apple Cash.

HausMoney functions similarly. It provides you with a spending limit that you can draw upon for eligible transactions, but these transactions are generally intended for purchasing goods and services, not for direct cash transfers to other individuals through P2P apps.

These P2P platforms are designed to facilitate money transfers, often drawing funds directly from your bank account, debit card, or existing balances within the app. HausMoney, as a credit product, operates on a different mechanism.

Linking a Credit Card

For security purposes, you must link a bank-issued debit card to your account before you can link a credit card.

You should not link your HausMoney card number in CashApp as it will not work, you can only link your HausMoney bank account and routing number to get set up in Venmo.

The Link Credit Card option will appear under Linked Banks in your Account tab after you’ve linked a debit card.

Adding your Cash App account as an External Bank Account in HausMoney

  1. Open Cash App: Launch the Cash App on your mobile device.

  2. Navigate to Banking/Money: Tap the "Money" or "Banking" tab, often found on the bottom navigation bar.

  3. Locate Routing and Account Numbers: Look for the section that displays "Routing and Account Numbers".

  4. View and Copy: You can view and copy your account and routing numbers from this section

Here is a list of services similar to Cash App and Apple Cash that you can use with HausMoney:

Apple Pay

  • Once you add your card information, you will need to verify it using a code sent by text message.

  • A widely used mobile payment service owned by PayPal, known for its social feed of transactions.

PayPal

  • A long-established online payment system that also offers P2P money transfer features through its app.

While HausMoney can be a valuable tool for managing your spending and accessing credit when you need it, please remember that for sending money to friends, family, or other individuals, you'll need to use services specifically designed for that purpose, such as the ones listed above, typically linked to your bank account or debit card.
