How do I add my bank account and routing number to Venmo?
You should not link your HausMoney card number in Venmo as it will not work, you can only link your HausMoney bank account and routing number to get set up in Venmo.
Add Bank Account to Venmo
Computer
To add a bank account to your Venmo profile from a computer, click here and select "Link Bank Account". Then, follow the instructions on the page.
In-App
Go to the Me tab
Go to the Wallet section
Scroll down to Banks and Cards
Tap on + Add a bank or card
Select Bank
Select Verify bank manually instead
Type in your routing number and account number
There are a few important things to keep in mind when you add your payment methods:
When you add your bank account to Venmo manually, we'll send "microtransfers" to your bank account and withdraw them to verify ownership (these will each be $1 or less).
Important Note: You should see these deposits/debits in your HausMoney account within 1-3 business days as separate items on your bank statement.
Final steps:
Once you have the code/amount from the micro-deposits.
Go to the Me tab.
In the Wallet section, tap on the bank you want to verify (it should say “Unconfirmed”).
Tap Verify and enter the microtransfer code or the two deposit amounts in the Code/Amount fields.
Tap Verify again to finish the process.
💡Keep in mind that:
Once you add a bank account to Venmo, we strongly recommend that you verify it before initiating any transfers. Venmo is not responsible for lost bank transfers as a result of incorrect bank credentials.
Transactions through this option are generally intended for purchasing goods and services, not for direct cash transfers to other individuals.
