You can use your account and routing numbers to pay bills if ACH payments are accepted, such as your phone, cable, utility, or credit card bills. Once the company you're trying to pay submits its request to us, the funds will leave your account within approximately 3 business days.
When using your account and routing number to pay bills, the funds have to be available in your spending balance at the time payment is submitted or it will fail when the company that you're trying to pay attempts to withdraw it.
To find your account and routing number:
Open your Hausmoney® App
Tap the HausMoney® Card image at the top of the Home tab.
Tap the “Show Account Details” drop-down option
Your routing and account number should display. Share these with your biller to set up ACH payments.
💡Once the biller submits the payment request, funds leave your account within approximately 3 business days.
Important: Pending tips and bill payments
When your employer makes a payout to your HausMoney account, your tips may be posted in two stages:
Available balance — Tips credited immediately and ready to spend.
Pending balance — Tips that have been issued but are still clearing. Pending funds are visible in your account but cannot be used until they fully credit.
If a biller pulls funds while some of your tips are still pending, the ACH debit will fail due to insufficient funds. Your biller may then charge you a late fee.
⚠️ To avoid a failed payment: Make sure your available balance (not including pending tips) covers the full payment amount before the biller's withdrawal date.
If your payment failed because of a pending tip payout
If your bill payment failed because tips were still pending at the time of withdrawal, and your biller charged you a late fee as a result, you may be eligible for a late fee refund.
What is covered:
The late fee charged by your biller (utility company, landlord, credit card issuer, etc.)
What is not covered:
The bill amount itself — your bill is still owed and you will need to re-initiate the payment once your tips have fully cleared.
Returned-payment fees charged by a different bank or account you hold elsewhere.
To request a late fee refund, contact support through the HausMoney app and provide:
The biller's name
The amount and date of the late fee
Confirmation that the payment failure was due to a pending tip balance
